Historic Tax Credits

For more than 36 years, Campo has successfully completed historic adaptive re-use projects. Both our specialized knowledge of historic architecture and our full range of specialized tax incentive services have created equity and secured financing for numerous projects. Completed in 1987, Campo’s first historic tax credit project was the JAX Brewery in New Orleans’ French Quarter.

We work with owners and developers to maximize the power of incentives such as Federal Historic Tax Credits and New Market Tax Credits.  We have built trusted relationships with historic landmarks commissions, state historic preservation offices, the National Park Service, tax credit investors, lending institutions for bridge financing, and Community Development Entities (CDEs). Our tax credit services are integrated throughout all disciplines, including Architecture and Interior Design.

Throughout our 36 years of experience in tax credit services, we have successfully orchestrated tax incentives for projects totaling more than $1 billion. We improve the financial bottom line for our clients by deriving free equity for their projects by monetizing State and Federal Historic Tax Credits and New Market Tax Credits. Campo has delivered large-scale historic adaptive re-use projects for the hospitality, multi-family and medical sectors.
