“Historic building transformed into hotel in New Orleans CBD - New Inn & Suite to accommodate NOLA rising tourism”

“According to New Castle Hotels & Resorts, a leading company over several hotels and suites, opened the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Downtown New Orleans on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016.

The hotel was originally built in 1910. Owned by the Interstate Electric Company, the building was acquired by New Castle in April 2015. Since the acquisition, the building underwent $10, million in renovations. The new design of the hotel was created by local New Orleanian architect John T. Campo, who worked to preserve the historic elements of the building’s exterior and interior.”
