The historic Riverside Power Plant is the centerpiece of the Plant Riverside redevelopment and includes the preservation and adaptive re-use of the existing power plant, both the original 1912 masonry structure and the 1940s addition. The Power Plant will be converted into a JW Marriott and the program includes hotel rooms, meeting and event spaces and a number of food & beverage and retail uses. Campo Architects worked closely with the Kessler Collection team to revise Georgia’s Historic Tax Credit legislation for a more favorable incentive that benefits Real Estate Owners and Developers who preserve our nation’s historic treasures.
